"The Strokes played CBGB’s twice. The first time was cool cause they were playing CB’s. It was just friends and not crowded at all. The second time they played CBGB’s the buzz had built for them. It was jammed packed just for them. Friends, family and now proper fans. The thing about CB’s was they let anyone play (pure shit). The guys had gotten to the end of their time slot. The crowd kept cheering for an encore, they

started to play when the sound guy cut the mics. The place went nuts and The Strokes started trashing the stage. Julian went to the front of the stage and yells out “FUCK CBGB’S”.
