Oasis

Oasis were the biggest band in Britain for most of the 1990s, and at their peak in the mid-decade they were genuinely one of the most significant rock acts in the world. Noel and Liam Gallagher, Paul Arthurs, Paul McGuigan and Tony McCarroll created a sound rooted in the Beatles and the Stone Roses but pushed into something louder, brasher and more ambitious. Definitely Maybe in 1994 was an arrival. (What's the Story) Morning Glory in 1995 was a conquest.

The photography of Oasis during that period is some of the most iconic in British rock history. Kevin Cummins, who had spent years documenting Manchester's music scene from Joy Division onwards, brought his extraordinary eye to the Gallagher brothers and produced images that have become inseparable from how that era is remembered. His photographs of Liam in particular, whether live on stage or in the quiet moments between, are among the defining images of 1990s music.

Behind The Gallery holds a significant collection of Oasis limited edition photography prints, with a particular focus on Kevin Cummins' work with the band. Each print is produced on museum-quality archival paper, individually numbered and supplied with a certificate of authenticity.
