Thom Yorke photographed by Kevin Westenberg during a press shoot for his first solo album 'The Eraser' for Mojo Magazine in 2006.

"The purpose of photography is also more than just clicking the shutter. It takes many alternate forms as the relationship with the world matures. We just end up seeing those moments differently. I search within my archive for the images that say more about whichever subject on a deeper level. Just what the fuck is art anyway? Seems the art snobs define it as inhabiting the space outside the commercial world or more precisely….who you know. Heh. The beauty ultimately is still in the eye of the beholder. This one will be one of my legacy images. In pure photography terms, perhaps this is the perfect photo. Is IT cool enough? Is IT ArT? I find myself returning to this one more recently and know ultimately history will be on my side. One of the dozen truly memorable solo images of Thom from that day in Amsterdam I’ll always be grateful for. The only certainty is impermanence".
