The Verve - Tour Bus, USA, 1994
While I was in America for the Lollapalooza tour, I had the chance to be introduced to The Verve on their tour bus. Seizing the moment,
as a fledgling, fumbling photographer, I took some photographs of the band in their own private space.
When I got back to the UK, I created a composite of the images and sent it to press officers and managers I knew, and to my delight, I received an immediate call from John Best (founder of the legendary Savage Best PR company) asking if this particular photo could be used in their ‘A Northern Soul’ artwork. It was an incredible moment for me, knowing that these spontaneous shots from a rainy day on the road would become part of their visual legacy.
