'One of many highlights was being on set for the video shooting of ‘The Perfect Drug’ video in Los Angeles directed by Mark Romanek. The visual theme of music video is heavily steeped in Victorian-era gothic aesthetics combined with surreal, industrial, and absinthe-influenced imagery. Set in a dark, opulent, and decaying mansion, evoking a 19th-century gothic atmosphere. The architecture, costumes, and props (like top hats, frock coats, and antique furniture) draw heavily from Victorian mourning culture and decadence. In other words, a perfect photographers setting and I loved every moment.

One of which is this one, which was originally at the time, a chosen press shot for America. I’ve got a few of those old plastic coated RC prehistoric prints that the label and press used to send out pre-internet. This new direct scan from the original negative is far superior in every way.
