Brian Molko - Placebo, London 1996
Brian Molko, adorned with angel wings, was part of a shoot for Kerrang!, during the early days of Placebo’s career. I’ve always had a deep connection with the band, and this shoot was particularly special for me.
The inspiration for this image came when I stumbled upon a pair of flimsy plastic wings at London’s Portobello Market. I decided to buy them on a whim, curious to see what we could create with them. When I brought them to the shoot, Brian immediately transformed them into something magical, embodying a fallen angel with effortless grace.
His makeup was exquisite that day, with glitter accentuating his bright eyes and androgynous beauty. The combination of these elements made the shoot unforgettable, capturing Brian’s unique essence that defines both him and the band.
