Blink 182 Tampa, 2000
In May 2000, I embarked on a whirlwind trip to America which included a shoot with Blink-182. We flew into Orlando and headed to a golfing resort, where the band were staying, near Innisbrook.
We stumbled upon a bar that had a mock waterfall, which at first seemed like a quirky spot but quickly revealed its potential as a brilliant backdrop in the purpose-built holiday resort. Always keen to make any situation work, I thought, “This could work? Let’s do a shot here”
Tom DeLonge had spent the day shirtless soaking up the Florida sun and was completely sunburnt but the shot turned out to be a mix of the ridiculous and the iconic, capturing the band at their cheeky best.
