The Ritz Tower 2

Description

Shot by Charles when Amy was 19, before the release of her debut album 'Frank'.

"Shortly after this we were back upstairs and both of us with hangovers were
starting to lose the plot a bit. Amy was on the bathroom floor, and I was
promising her that we were on the last roll of film.

We laughed with the knowledge that I was lying but trying to put Amy at a place of ease, as she really wasn’t a fan of being in front of the lens. Eventually we got to the last look, Amy was in heels and her Patrick Swayze T-shirt, which would later become a cushion cover at home in Camden. One of the last shots from this is in a back corridor with a rather gleeful smile as we joked about the bellboys catching us shooting in the lift Amy just in her t-shirt. Within hours Amy would be on her way to the airport to fly to Miami and record with the legend"
