Image details
"This photograph was taken at KOKO in Camden, close to where Amy Winehouse lived, just as ‘Back to Black’ was about to be released. She was doing promo for the album and was in great spirits—happy, joking, and in a really positive place.
I captured some candid moments with her and her band laughing in the green room. In this shot she was being interviewed in the top bar by Joe Mace with a Jack and Coke by her side. It was a special time, shooting Amy in her element, on the cusp of releasing on what would become a seminal, timeless album that would go on to start her incredible legacy."
