Pat Pope is a renowned British rock and portrait photographer who makes his mark in the 1990s, capturing the rise of iconic bands such as Suede, Oasis, and The Prodigy. His evocative work graces the pages of Melody Maker, NME, and Q Magazine, defining an era of music history.

Pat’s career gained momentum with his early work for Suede’s debut album in 1993, followed by touring with Radiohead and a long-standing collaboration with The Prodigy, notably contributing to their 1997 album The Fat of the Land. In 1997, he fulfilled a lifelong dream by photographing his hero, David Bowie. Over more than two decades, he immortalises legendary artists such as Brett Anderson, Dido, and Morrissey, cementing his legacy as one of the key visual chroniclers of the Britpop and alternative rock movement. His work is also displayed at the National Portrait Gallery, London.

His career was tragically cut short by a cerebral stroke in 2018, which resulted in aphasia. Despite this challenge, Pat remains dedicated to his art, curating a photography book from his extensive archive His enduring images continue to inspire, capturing the spirit and energy of some of the most influential musicians of his time.
