Lemmy Kilmister - London, 2011
Lemmy was truly one of a kind, and I would often see him in his usual spot at the Rainbow when I was in LA. People ask me about him a lot, as he was adored by many. I’ve heard that he wore the Iron Cross not as a symbol of hate, but because he admired it as a symbol of bravery, but only he could answer that one.
I’m particularly fond of the lighting in this shot. Though the original image was quite washed out, we remastered it to give it a more powerful and striking look - much like the man himself. At the end of one session, I did with Lemmy, when I asked if I could take a selfie, he playfully insisted that I sit on his knee, I kept it brief!
