Beastie Boys - California, 1994
In my first year of shooting as a photographer, I found myself working with one of the most influential bands of all time - the Beastie Boys. I had headed out to America for shoots and the Lollapalooza tour was part of that trip. One of the other standout moments was the Freedom Benefit Concert for Leonard Peltier, where Rage Against the Machine also delivered a powerful and unforgettable performance.
During this time, I had the incredible opportunity to hang out with the Beastie Boys, the images I took were candid, fly-on-the-wall shots that captured the band’s essence both on stage and behind the scenes.
Looking back, these photos hold a special place in my heart. Thirty years later, they serve as a vivid reminder of the moments that shaped my early career and the powerful shows that left their mark on music history.
