We went for the same kind of aesthetic as a starting point, but rather than shooting in front of prison gates (used in the original image) we used a football pitch near London’s Westway, close to their label, V2 Records. The main girl in the shot was a model called Lucy [Joplin] who was going out with Mark Keds [The Senseless Things/Jolt] at the time. We also had most of the record company in the image as extras.

This photo holds a very special place in my heart and catalogue. It was used for the band’s 1999 album ‘Performance And Cocktails’ artwork, and I’ll never forget the feeling I had seeing my work on billboards all over London.

Available in Limited Editions of 10

Printed by Fotospeed on Hahnemühle Photo Rag ® 340gsm Metallic paper

Framed Version is with Art Glass

Available editions:

10 x 12" — £700

20 x 24" — £1,600

Framed Gallery Edition 20 x 24" — £1,999

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0612/3421/7126/files/stereophonic_performaneandcocktails.jpg?v=1759279691
